Cyberpunk inspired Maneki-neko is waving to you from a better future! May this raise your hopes for a time after the pandemic.
I focused on illustration practice and tried out textured shading for the first time. The cat is artificial so I decided to use symmetric shapes instead of organic ones. The cyberpunk elements I added later and did it lightely in order to leave the Maneki-neko still visible to the viewer.
The next thing I wanted to try out was faux 3D animation on the arm with path manipulation. That was a bit more tedious when it came to the details and shading, so it is propably best used on low detailed Illustrations. I want to practice more on it though as I really like the look of faux 3D.
